Under a new amendment to the Alcoholic Beverage Control law, all licensees with an approved method of operation that includes “exotic dancing,” including topless entertainment, pole dancing and lap dancing, are required to display posters with information on human trafficking, including the toll-free telephone number of the National Human Trafficking Hotline.
The posters, available for download below, must be displayed in an upright position in a conspicuous location where they can be easily read by employees and patrons, in both English and Spanish, and printed on standard paper (8.5 x 11 inches) or larger.
Violations of this section subject licensees to a civil penalty of $100 for each day the licensee is not in compliance with the law.
